Deliveries

As a professionally trained navigator from the New Zealand Navy, and a experienced engineer with many offshore miles of experience, you can trust that all our deliveries are made with safety as the top priority, ensuring your pride and joy reaches their destination in pristine condition.

Guardianage

We maintain and look after your pride and joy when you are unable to. From ensuring she is kept safe from severe weather, washing of the damaging red sand of the calima and ensuring her systems are regularly operated we have you covered.

I'm Conrad, a Marine Engineer with more than 20 years experience in the marine sector gained in the New Zealand Royal Navy, on International Offshore Projects, as a Superyacht Engineer, and Warranty & Service Engineer for a luxury boat manufacturer. I love being out on the water and since 2021, I have been sailing with my family aboard our sailboats Vega and Kahu. In the liveaboard community my skills, experience and positive attitude came in handy as I have helped out many boat owners along the way. When I am not on my own boat I am an Engineer on larger vessels and love the challenges that come with such a role. Hailing from Auckland (New Zealand),the water has always been an important element in my life. Languages too and sharing stories and connecting with people from all over the world is one of the great joys of living this life!

I'm Sarah, I am a natural communicator and do so in multiple languages. I facilitate Conrad and our customers in any way I can. From logistics and planning, to cleaning and prepping your vessel. Creative, ressourceful and competent I get great satisfaction at finding solutions to tricky situations. My professional land life was in the business world in Supply chain managaement, Procumerment, Production, and even a Factory Director in Morocco, later I became a Business Coach and now all these transferable skills and experience are going towards getting the job well done at Searad Marine. Life on the water with my family is my happy place.

Conrad worked as Sole Engineer onbaord Maria Cattiva from June 2016 to Sept 2018. During that time, he took charge of his department diligently, keeping all systems in good order and operational, and maintained a good working relationship with myself and the owner. Additionally, he oversaw a major nav systems upgrade and class surveys with attention to detail and a practical, pragmatic approach to achieving our objectives.

Where are you based?

We liveaboard full time on our beautiful Sigma 41 'Kahu' in Marina Lanzarote. We service the whole of the Canary Islands and can also cost effectively attend to your needs in mainland Spain.

What if we are not nearby?

We can talk, video or message over the phone via whichever app suits you best. During this inital free no obligation chat we can get a better understanding of the situation.

We will offer you a plan of action and working solution in a detailed report with our best quote. We will detail transport costs if needed, at the best possible rate.

If you feel we are the right team to work for you, we move fast to keep your boat downtime to a minimal.

We need to organise a haul out in the marina but are struggling to coordinate it with the marina and the local contractors.

We will take care of everything. As we are a multilingual team, with over 30 years of experience living and working in 4 continents across cultures in 4 languages we can communicate with the marina and local contractors to get everyone onboard working hard for you.

Yes we are! We have a travel blog to log our sailing adventures and a Facebook page and instagram account to share our life with friends and family.

Yes we do! Sarah has a virtual translation company called virtualingo.com which offers written translation and marketing texts as well as over the phone translation for on spot situations.
